I embrace a 5s (sorting, stabilising, sweeping, standardising and sustaining discipline) and 5 whys? methodology.
The 5 Whys is a questions-asking method to explore the cause/effect relationships underlying a particular problem. Ultimately, the goal of applying the 5 Whys method is to determine a root cause of a defect or problem.
I strongly uphold a Lean, Muda, Kaizen, Kaikaku and Poka Yoke business mentality:
LEAN = very successful with a minimum amount of resources, achievable by eliminating wasted time.
MUDA = get rid of things we waste time on that does not add value for clients.
KAIZEN = KAI means change and ZEN means for the better. Literally means change for the better or continuous improvement.
KAIKAKU = is a radical kaizen breakthrough team based activity to eliminate waste from processes.
POKA YOKE = is something that we put in place to prevent us making mistakes.
- Kaizen is evolutionary, focused on incremental improvements.
- Kaikaku is revolutionary, focused on radical improvements
